Police Arrest Teen in Connection With Robberies and Theft.

Police in several jurisdictions across three counties now know the perpetrator of a host of armed robberies and a car theft. Police arrested 18-year-old Adam David in connection with robberies in Montgomery, Delaware and Chester counties. David was arrested August 4th at the Coventry Mall. David allegedly robbed the Kiwi Yogurt Store on Plaza Drive in Upper Providence on July 30th, stole a car on July 22nd and robbed a Dominos pizza in Radnor, Delaware County on August 3rd.  Prosecutors say David used BB guns to carry out the robberies. David faces a long list of charges, including charges of robbery, burglary and endangering other persons. David, from South Coventry, is being held in jail pending a bail hearing.

County Bomb Squad Called to Pennbrook Station

A package spotted near commuter rail lines in Lansdale puts a halt to train service. Lansdale police were called to the Pennbrook station shortly before six Thursday evening when a conductor saw a package near the tracks. All outbound and in-bound service was immediately brought to a standstill until police could arrive. Lansdale and septa police, along with the Montgomery county bomb squad responded the Pennbrook station. The package was destroyed by the bomb squad just before 8pm. Upon further examination, it was determined that the package did not contain explosive materials. The package was wedged against the outside of a rail.

More Time Granted For Pre-Trial Motions in Murder Charge Against Upper Gwynedd Veterinarian.

An Upper Gwynedd veterinarian being held on charges of murdering his pregnant girlfriend will get more time to present his case through his attorneys. Judge Robert Steinberg granted the attorneys representing David Rapoport, who is accused of killing his girlfriend, another month for pre-trial motions. Rapoport, 30 years old and married at the time of the killing, was arrested on March 22nd in connection with shooting 27-year-old Jennifer Snyder. Her body was found four days later in a nature preserve near Allentown. Rapoport faces the death penalty if he’s found guilty. Attorneys have been given until September 1st to file motions.

Elderly Hilltown Woman Scammed Out Of Nearly 37-Hundred Dollars

An elderly woman in Hilltown Township is scammed out of nearly 37-hundred dollars. Hilltown Township Police Chief,Christopher Engelhart says, the crime happened Monday evening. Engelhart says, a man called identifying himself as the woman’s grandson, asking for 1,845 because he was in an accident. The woman complied and wired the money, but the man called again and the woman sent an identical amount.

“Hopefully we get the message out there they always have to verify this information. Get return phone numbers, call other family members. Try to contact the person from your own contact information that requesting the money so you can again verify the story.”

Engelhart says, the man who identified himself as the woman’s grandson said he was calling from Spain. The elderly woman wired the money to the scam artist from two different Giant supermarket locations.
