Whitpain Township Police and the F.B.I are looking for a bank robber who made off with an unknown amount of cash, after hitting the First Priority bank in Blue Bell on Sentry Parkway. Police say, the man entered he bank just after 2:30pm last Thursday. The suspect was armed with a gun. Police say, the suspect covered his face with a dark mask and sunglasses. No one was injured. The suspect is described as a male, 5-6’, with a medium build. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and blue sneakers with red or orange on his sneakers. A hit and run in Lansdale on November 13th, injuring two women in another car, lands an Upper Gwynedd Township man in some hot water. Police say, 23 year old, Anthony Davidson was speeding on the 400 block of North Broad Street when hit an Infiniti, occupied by two women. Police say, Davidson got out of the Buick he was driving and told the women he would pull over at East 5th street, but did not stop. A witness at the scene was able to get his license plate number. The two women in the Infiniti drove to Lansdale hospital for treatment. Davidson faces a host of charges, including leaving the scene of an accident. Police discovered his car on December 4th on Wexford Drive in Upper Gwynedd Township. Davidson faces a February 4th hearing.
354-thousand dollars…. That’s the dollar figure that authorities say a former bank manager at the First Savings Bank of Perkasie in Dublin stole from 11 accounts over a period starting in January of 2009 until November of this year. 57-year-old, Joseph Policare faces numerous charges in connection with the thefts from accounts of elderly bank customers. Policare will be court on December 23rd for a preliminary hearing. He’s being held in the Bucks County Prison on 750-thousand dollars bail.
A Lansdale man is headed to court after being accused of having child pornography on his computer. An Abington Township police detective, also a member of the Pennsylvania Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, was carrying out an investigation in may when he found an internet address that led to a boarding house on East Hancock Street in Lansdale. Police discovered that 33-year-old, John Scott was the only boarder to have internet access. Police seized Scott’s computer and found child porn images. Scott was arrested December 2nd and faces a January 29th court hearing. Scott has been charged with 21 counts of felony possession of child porn. He was released on 50 thousand dollars unsecured bail.
