A married father of three and former Pennridge softball coach admitted in Bucks County court Monday that had a sexual relationship with one of his players, a 16 year girl on the softball team. 36-year-old, Eric Romig was arrested in October after the teen’s parents became alarmed with their daughter’s relationship with Romig. Prosecutors would eventually find evidence of Romig’s relationship with the girl through text messages and a perverse video he had sent her. Romig also encouraged the girl to send his lurid photos, but by that point, he had been involved with the girl on a sexual level. Romig remains behind bars on high bail. Bucks County authorities say, Romig tried to make advances on two girls who played on the Faith Christian Academy basketball team during the 08-09 season, where he was the coach. The girls reported his behavior, forcing his resignation, but the school never reported his actions to police. Prosecutors say, the situation could have been averted if Pennridge high school knew about Romig’s past actions. Romig will be sentenced in three months, after a review of the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act.
