It’s been three years since a North Wales man was involved in a crash while under the influence of marijuana and cocaine. The 57-year-old man will now pay the price for his actions on August 22nd, 2010 on Valley Forge Road in Towamencin Township. John Heffernan was sentenced 3 to 23 months in jail. A Pottstown woman suffered serious injuries as a result of the multi-vehicle crash. A judge denied a Heffernan’s request for house arrest.

A Philadelphia is sentenced 6-to-23 months in prison after her 10th conviction for shop lifting. The most recent incident happened at the Montgomery Mall. 50-year-old Diane Rumph also faces three years of probation following her prison term. Rumph was arrested after trying to swipe a shirt at the Gap Store in the Montgomery Mall on January 24th. During the arrest, officials discovered another 800-dollars worth of merchandise from another store in the mall. Rumph admitted that her intentions at the mall were to take a few things.

A 22 year old Souderton man is sentenced to five years probation for his involvement with a 15-year-old girl. Prosecutors say, Angel Aviles had sex with the girl and shared marijuana with her. The teen later complained to a nurse at school about having stomach pains. Further tests at the hospital confirmed that the girl was pregnant. Aviles admitted he have sex with the girl on several occasions and purchased marijuana. The encounters happened in November of 2011. Aviles was charge with corrupting the morals of a minor and ordered to pay a 250-dollar fine. The affair came to light in December of 2011 when the girl’s father confronted Aviles about the situation. Aviles then came clean to Police about his involvement with the teen.

A man who has hit banks in Bucks and Montgomery counties, has drawn the attention of the F.B.I The armed bandit’s latest bank robbery happened on March 30th in Ambler at a PNC branch on Bethlehem pike. He’s also the likely suspect who stopped in at the Colonial American Bank in Horsham last June for an armed withdrawl. The F.B.I considers the suspect a serial bank robber, believing he has hit several banks across the region. Police say, video surveillance shows he’s armed with a semi-automatic handgun, sometimes making it visible in a holster, where tellers can see it. He usually wears suits with a white hood with eye slits. Police believe he’s a white male,5-10 to 6-2, possibly with blue eyes. He also used a hood during another armed bank robbery.
