An elderly woman and another person were allegedly duped in to believing a Lower Salford man had their best interests in mind when they agreed to allow him to oversee their financial affairs. Authorities say, 47 year old Jeffery Stoler never provided the whereabouts or information pertaining to the woman’s 80-thousand dollars. He was arrested in early July when he failed to provide information for the woman, whose family contacted Towamencin Township Police. He first started managing the woman’s money in May of 2012. Stoler also must answer for more than 34-thousand dollars he agreed to manage for another person in the township. He faces a preliminary hearing on November 19th.
A relationship with a 14-year-old girl and her testimony in court, results in a six to 23 month prison term for a Souderton man. Prosecutors say, 46-year-old Michael Cardillo engaged in inappropriate sex acts with the teen, and gave her alcohol and cigarettes. The incidents happened between September of 2011 and April of 2012. Cardillo was a friend of the family. He’s been ordered to report to jail on December 2nd and faces eight years of probation after serving his sentence.
Whitpain Township Police say a silent alarm was triggered at around 1:30 Monday morning for the report a robbery
“From the Whitpain Tavern on Dekalb Pike and as Officers were responding they received some additional information that a red Mustang was taken during the incident.”
Whitpain Township Police Sergeant, Kathy Penecale says before the two armed masked men fled in the red Mustang.
“The grabbed a safe from the tavern.”
Officers set up stop strips, which forced the car off the road on to Montgomery County Community College property. The suspects were able to flee on foot. The school opened at noon on Monday. The suspects are described as black males. They remain at large. No one was injured during the robbery.
A crash in Montgomery Township injuries three drivers, police say the crash happened a little after 1pm Thursday near the intersection of Route-309 and North Wales Road when a car was leaving a fast food restaurant, moments later the car and two other vehicles impacted each other. One driver had to be extricated. Police say, there was no damage to nearby properties or electric lines.
