More Info in Murder of Hatfield Township Woman
The Montgomery County D-A’s office continues to investigate the death of a Hatfield Township woman, allegedly stabbed to death by her husband early Friday morning. According to reports that have surfaced, Walid Matwalli accused his wife of cheating on him and trying to harm him. Records show that he had his wife, Mona Mitwalli committed, but doctors concurred that Mona showed no signs of mental illness. She would spend less than one day inside the facility. Mitwalli also had a protection order issued against wife, a move that was later negated by a judge. More information indicates that Mona Mitwalli feared for her safety after allegedly showing the family nanny information that her husband had purchased an accidental death insurance policy, just a few day before her death. Walid Mitwalli is charged with 1st degree murder and is being held without bail. he faces a June 27th hearing.
Police Arrest Bucks County Man on Car Theft.
According to court records, a man with a history of offenses can now add another charge to the list. Towamencin Township police arrested the Bristol, Bucks County man, on a charge of driving a stolen car. Police say 34-year-old, John Zanini was stopped by officers last Wednesday at Liberty Bell Drive and Independence Drive. He was driving a 2004 Infiniti Sedan, but the registration of the vehicle was linked to a Chrysler. The sedan was reported stolen from Chester County in early May. Zanini, who has a lengthy criminal history, is charged with receiving stolen property. He’s being held in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility after failing to post 25-thousand dollars in bail. A court date for Zanini has been set for June 25th.
