Camp Director Charged with Failure to Report Sex Abuse

The Montgomery County District Attorney’s office has charged Ryan Wexelblatt with failing to report sex abuse at a camp in Upper Perkiomen Township. Police say, the incident happened on the overnight hours of July 4th into July 5th when a juvenile was sexually assaulted in his room by two other juveniles at the camp. The victim reported the incident to camp counselors, who then contacted the camp director, Ryan Wexelblatt. According to the Montgomery County D-A’s office, Wexelbaltt ordered his senior camp counselor to drive the two juveniles to Philadelphia International Airport on July 5th, where they boarded a plane for their homes states. Wexelblatt is charged with failing to report child abuse and additional offenses. He faces a September 12th preliminary hearing. His bail was set at 20,000 dollars.

Vandals Leave Their Mark on 18th Century Home

Vandals strike an 18th century home, leaving a path of destruction inside the classic dwelling. The home, located on the 500 block of Bethlehem pike, was not occupied, but the owner regularly visits. It’s been in the family for 100 years, according to the owner. 11 windows were smashed out, graffiti and red oil paint were spattered on the walls and a kitchen appliance. A small hand print in red paint was also discovered, a clue that may help police. The damage to the home is estimated in the thousands. It’s believed the vandals entered the home sometime over the weekend or Monday. The owner found the home in shambles on Tuesday. Trail Date Set For Man Accused of Exposing Himself

A Towamencin Township man who allegedly exposed himself to two boys and a married couple earlier this summer will face trail. According to Police, 60-year-old, Thomas Clifford committed the acts at the Main Street Apartments, where he was living at the time. The first incident happened on June 26th when Clifford, according to police, exposed himself to two boys who were taking out trash. the mother of the boys confronted clifford, but he allegedly responded to the woman with a lewd gesture. Clifford was arrested and released on 5,000 bail. On June 30th, Police say, Clifford struck again, waiving his genitals at a married couple from inside the sliding glass doors of his apartment. The management has since ended his lease. He was released on 50-thousand dollars unsecured bail. A psychological evaluation will be scheduled for Clifford before his trial date, scheduled for September 11th.

Bank Robbery in Whitpain

Whitpain Township police have the dragnet out for a bank robber.   Investigators say a man is his 30s held up the T-D bank branch on Swede Road yesterday afternoon.   The suspect handed a teller a demand note and said he had a gun though a weapon was not displayed.   The bandit escaped on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.   The FBI has joined the hunt for the suspect and has labeled him armed and dangerous.
