A Lansdale man and his 32-year-old girlfriend are behind bars in the Montgomery County Prison after failing to post 50,000 dollars bail. The couple are of accused stealing a debit card and spending hundreds of dollars. The debit card belonged to the mother of 28-year-old, Ryan Krobath. Police say, Krobath and his girlfriend, Lisa Hendricks, used the debit card at various locations, from gas stations to a chain drug store, to purchase a variety of items, including hypodermic syringes. Police say, the couple carried out their spend spree between August 27th and August 29th. Krobath’s mother confirmed to police that her son and Hendricks are heroin addicts. They face multiple charges at an October 3rd court hearing.
Police say, a member of the Sellersville Fire Company and another man are under arrest on arson charges in connection with a blaze at an abandoned building Wednesday night at Maple and Lawn avenues. 18 year-old, Cody Wagenseller, a probationary member of the Sellersville Fire Company and 19-year-old Adam Weaver, face multiple counts, including arson and criminal conspiracy to commit arson. Police say, Wagenseller and Weaver have admitted to setting other fires.
A crash between a box truck and a Toyota highlander results in two injuries. It happened Thursday morning just before 11 on Bethlehem Pike, near Mele drive. The crash happened in the northbound lane, according to Montgomery Township Police. Police say the Toyota Highlander impacted the truck, driven by a 33-year-old Philadelphia man. Police say, a Montgomery County woman was behind the wheel of the Toyota. The Philadelphia man was transported via helicopter to University of Pennsylvania Hospital. The woman was taken by ambulance to Abington Hospital.
An East Greenville man faces a slew of charges after police say he led them on a high speed chase and then a foot chase. Towamencin Township Police say, the incident happened Wednesday morning around 2:30 when an officer pulled over 23-year-old David Yenen. Police say, Yenen got off the turnpike and was spotted by an officer driving at a high rate of speed on Sumneytown Pike. The officer pulled over Yenen and was walking toward Yenen’s vehicle when he turned on the ignition and took off. Police say, Yenen ditched his car at Orvilla road near Weikel road and started running toward Welsh road. Officers caught up with Yenen on Clearview Street in Hatfield Township hiding behind some bushes just before 3:30. Police say, Yenen refused a blood test and consistently uttered profanity at officers. A breathalyzer showed Yenen was drinking alcohol. Police discovered Yenen was driving with a suspended license. Yenen, who faces an October 8th hearing, faces 11 charges, including reckless driving and eluding police. He’s in jail after failing to post bail.
