Quinter: Schwartz Is No Moderate

wnpv_politicsOne of three Republicans seeking their party’s nomination to run for congress in the 13th District, Harleysville Lawyer Josh Quinter, says this year offers their best chance to beat three-term Democrat Allyson Schwartz. He says the party can cash in on unpopular legislation and an anti-incumbent mood.

“The wind is never going to be more at our back and we’re never going to have a better opportunity to win this seat.”

Quinter says he is telling voters what she says she is and what she really is.

“Allyson Schwartz has gotten away for the longest time with telling her constituents that she’s a moderate.  If you study her voting record you will find that she’s many things, but she’s not a moderate.  If you compare her to a gentleman named Bernie Sanders, who’s an avowed Socialist from Vermont, her voting record is to the left of his, so that tells you what you need to know about Allyson Schwartz’s record, and that’s how you beat her.”

Quinter says he’s younger than his GOP primary opponents, he has more energy, and he can articulate the issues.  The other two men in the race are Abington attorney Dee Adcock and Philadelphia Firefighter Brian Haughton, and Election Day is next Tuesday.  The 13th District is about half in Montgomery County and half in Northeast Philadelphia.
