A developer has scaled back plans for a three-acre property at Bustard Road and Franklin Street in Kulpsville. An office building has been dropped until market conditions improve, but attorney Carl Weiner, who represents the developer, says they still want to build a four-story hotel with 89 rooms.
“It’s not going to be full-service. The hotel next door is full-service with banquet rooms and restaurants. This will kind of be a second-level hotel.”
He says the hotel will be similar to a Hampton Inn, but not necessarily that brand name, and the office building could be added later. The Towamencin Township Planning Commission will start reviewing the revised plans at its February 7 meeting.
