The Towamencin Township Supervisors have amended their burning ordinance to ban burning leaves. Earlier this year they updated the ordinance to allow burning yard waste at least 50 feet away from any building and 25 feet away from the property line, but the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection objected because it did not specifically exclude leaves.  Township Manager Rob Ford says the amendment should settle any issues with the DEP.
