Judge Tosses Out Mensch Conviction
A Berks County judge has overturned State Senator Bob Mensch’s disorderly conduct conviction.
A magisterial district judge found him guilty of the summary offense after a March incident on Interstate 78 where another motorist accused him of tailgating and pulling a gun. State police found two handguns in his car, one in the glove box and one under a book in the passenger seat. He had a permit to carry both guns, and he suggested the other motorist may have mistaken his cell phone for a gun. Mensch (pictured here) represents parts of Montgomery, Bucks, Lehigh and Northampton Counties.
