Lansdale Treasurer Carol Bailey-Zellers is stepping down after nearly four years of service. She has submitted her resignation, effective December 31. She says she needs to devote more time to her aging parents and her growing business, and it’s time for someone else to step up.
“It’s really time for someone new to come in, and I believe everyone should devote some of their time to community service, and this is a good way to start.”
She says she hopes the new treasurer will give the small salary of about $14,000 a year back to the borough, as she has done.
