State Rep. Kate Harper says pensions and liquor privatization will be heavily debated issues as lawmakers try to come to an agreement on a new state budget.
Harper supports the idea of selling off liquor stores.
“That would generate revenue. We have to see what the senate wants to do with it. They’ve indicated that rather than sell the system, they want to make it more convenient to consumers, but most consumers want privatization.”
Harper, a guest on the am edition Tuesday morning, is not confident that lawmakers will be able to agree on a new budget by the end of the month.
