Liquor Privatization and school funding will be heavily debated issues in Harrisburg.
But passing a new state budget hinges on the Legislature’s ability to fix the state’s bloated pension system, according to political pollster Dr Terry Madonna.
“Governor Corbett, from what I’ve been hearing from reporters and others close to the Governor, will not sign a new budget unless pension reform is successfully worked out. Corbett is prepared to wait through July to get a pension deal done.”
Madonna, a guest on the AM Edition Thursday morning, says Corbett also needs to increase education funding if he wants to catch Tom Wolf in the polls.
