Governor Tom Corbett is faced with signing a budget he does not want to sign, and he also has some significant hurdles in winning re-election.
Franklin and Marshall College Poll Director, Dr. Terry Madonna says there’s a dysfunction in Corbett’s party.
“You would think the leadership would get the rank and file Republicans to do pension reform. The Governor needs a political victory. The Governor’s defense on this, he thinks he’s right about the need to do this pension reform because the long term fiscal liability of the Commonwealth is at stake.”
Madonna, a guest on the AM Edition Wednesday morning, says voters who were polled say education and the health of the economy were more important than the Corbett’s main agenda items…… pension reform and liquor privatization.
