8th District Congressman, Mike Fitzpatrick is cheering the President for signing The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act into law.
Fitzpatrick says, the Act will consolidate a lot of duplicate and inefficient government programs.
“It will make sure that the limited resources that we have available for training will go right to places where they are needed most, which is, mainly right now, I would say it manufacturing.”
Fitzpatrick says he’s head from local companies who say they are having a difficult time finding workers who are adequately trained. Fitzpatrick was a recent guest on WNPV’s AM Edition.
