There’s two open seats for judge on the court of common pleas in Montgomery County. Sharon Giamporcaro, running on the Republican ticket, looks to shift from prosecutor to judge with the goal of moving the docket.

“Having been a litigator in our court system, I know that when cases are delayed it presents an adverse impact on cases. It lessons the ability of witnesses to get there and testify and victims to come forward.”

Giamporcaro, an assistant Deputy District Attorney in Montgomery County, is also Chief of the Juvenile Division. Giamporcaro was a guest on the AM Edition Friday morning.

Montco. Attorney Counts on Experience in Run For Judge

After November 5th, Gail Weilheimer hopes to have a view from behind the bench as a Montgomery County Judge. Weilheimer has served as an Assistant District Attorney in Philadelphia, and has worked as both a defense and civil attorney in Montgomery County.

“Sometimes you get Judges who have never been in a courtroom and don’t understand how a courtroom is supposed to work. That doesn’t help with the administration of justice. So because I enjoy the art of litigation and I’m an instructor in that aspect and I have a good demeanor and those are some of the backgrounds that will make me a good judge.”

Weilheimer is running on the Democratic ticket. She was a guest on the AM Edition Thursday morning.

N.W. Mayoral Candidate Says Boro. Needs More Businesses

On November 5th, voters in the Borough of North Wales will cast their ballots for mayor. Greg D’Angelo says he’s prepared himself for the leadership role of Mayor.

“I’ve been on the planning commission since 2010 and I’ve taken an active role in caring about North Wales. I’ve been a regular attendee at North Wales Council meetings and I know what the borough needs. Right now, there’s jot enough communication between council and the police department, that needs to change. I also feel North Wales needs to bring in more businesses.”

D’Angelo, a guest on the AM Edition Friday morning, is running on the Republican ticket. Mayor Doug Ross is running on the Democratic ticket for another term.

Congressman Meehan Critical of Health.Gov Problems

Republican Congressman Patrick Meehan says, the website Health.gov is a disaster.

“600 million dollars was spent putting together this system and they’ve spent millions and millions of dollars advertising that it would be ready on day one. The best line that I heard, it was like an FTF florist being flustered on Valentine’s Day.

Meehan adds, the system is vulnerable to cyber thieves.

“They’re going to waiting for information that they can easily steal and use.”

Meehan was a guest on the AM Edition Wednesday morning.
