Methacton Teachers Entering Contract Talks
Negotiators for the Methacton Education Association and the school board meet informally this week to see if they can iron out remaining contract issues.
The board voted earlier this month to accept a state fact-finder’s report, but the union rejected it. The report recommends no pay raises for the 2009-2010 school year and about four percent, including increments already in the contract, for each of the next three years. It recommends a teacher contribution of ten percent toward health insurance premiums in the first two years, eleven percent in the third year and twelve percent in the fourth year.
