Perk Valley Teachers Turn Down Fact Finder’s Report
Perkiomen Valley Education Association members have rejected a fact-finder’s report that could have provided the terms for a new contract.
They turned it down for a second time last week, following a ten-day waiting period required by law. The report recommended pay raises averaging a little more than $6,500 over a three-year contract. The school board approved the report early this month. The two sides return to the bargaining table February 4 with a third-party mediator sitting in. The Perkiomen Valley teachers have been working without a contract since August 31.
