It looks like a property tax hike is in the works for the North Penn School District. The school board Thursday night approved a preliminary budget for next year that includes an increase of 2.78%. Thats about $74 for the average homeowner. School Board members Joe Sullivan and Frank O'Donnell voted against the budget. School Board President Vince Sherpinsky voted for the spending plan. He says there is still time for state officials to restore some of the money they have cut from public education and lessen the amount of the property tax increase in North Penn. Final budget adoption for the district is scheduled for June 21st.
