Souderton area high school is continuing an effort to help freshman students know more about the school before the first day of school. Souderton Principal Sam Varano says, it’ all about sending an important message to incoming freshman and their parents.
“That we’re hear for you, rather than this imposing institution with imposing authority figures. Now we’ve really turned it over to our kids. Administrator, counselors and teachers go out with the kids, but it’s three or four of our juniors and seniors who will knock at the door, introduce themselves and talk about the upcoming opportunities at the high school.”
Varano and students will begin canvassing neighborhoods and knocking on doors next Tuesday. Varano was a guest on the AM-Edition Thursday morning
