The longest season in the history of Christopher Dock girls softball came to an end on Monday afternoon when the Pioneers lost to Brandywine Heights in the state semi-finals, 2-0. Bullets starting pitcher Sara Fronheiser held the Pioneers to just four hits while striking out nine. The only offense of the game took place in the top of the fifth when Jenn Dalickas hit a two out triple to plate the only runs that Brandywine Heights would need. The Bullets improved to 26-2 and will play of the state title on Friday morning at Penn State. Christopher Dock, who lost in last year's quarter-finals, finishes 21-5.
