Three Lansdale Catholic student athletes will be heading off to area colleges to continue their academic and athletic adventures. Marycate Scott will head to LaSalle to play softball while Meghan Gifford stays close at Gwynedd Mercy to continue here soccer career. Jonathon Motts will head north to Lackawana College to play baseball for the Falcons.
Scott, a pitcher and first baseman, is a three-time All Catholic League honoree. She was 16-6 as a junior with a 1.30 ERA. Gifford help lead the Crusaders to a 10-5-5 record and the PIAA District 12 title. Motts was selected to represent the Catholic League in the 2011 Carpenter Cup, where his his team made it all the way to the semi-finals.
