Friday, March 6
Friday is World Day of Prayer. This is an ecumenical celebration of prayers and songs of worship. Services begin at sunrise in the Pacific and follows the sun across the globe on the day of celebration. This year, the women of the WDP Committee of the Bahamas calls us to consider Jesus' words to the disciples after washing their feet: "Do you understand what I have done for you?"
The islands give voice to the people of the Bahamas who invite the world to " come and be washed in God's ever-flowing ocean of grace. World Day of Prayer USA promotes justice and equality for women through prayer, partnerships, service, and celebration. Please join us at Lansdale United Methodist Church located at 300 N. Broad St. on Friday, March 6 at 7PM.
For question or additional information contact Luann Ingram, 267-446-6840 or the church office at Lansdale United Methodist Church.

Special presentation at 2:00 on "Pennsylvania German Gardening Practices" by Brian Heft. 1:30-4:00. They developed and /or improved upon many of the farming and gardening practices that are core to today's organic gardens. The classic "four square" garden employed by early Pennsylvania Germans was the forerunner of "modern" raised bed systems. Join us for a casual discussion on the gardening methods developed by the Pennsylvania Germans, the application of these methods to today's gardens and some the vegetable varieties they grew.
