A college professor once told me “You want to get in the business, well, you better get ready live on a lot of hard rolls and butter.” There’s a lot of truth in that statement. I think that’s the general rule if you plan to pursue a career in the field of entertainment, but when you love it, that’s all that matters. I started my career in 1983 in Scranton, Pa at a station very similar to WNPV. I’ve always gravitated toward full-service radio stations that provide listeners with all the information they need, particularly in a local sense. While I have enjoyed these opportunities, I’ve also worked in Philadelphia, Atlanta, Trenton and Wilmington, Delaware, performing duties as a news director, news anchor, reporter and disc jockey. WNPV has allowed me to further stretch my creative pursuits as a production assistant and producer.
Pete Reinert has been a reporter with WNPV for almost 15 years. He is a familiar face at the meetings of Lansdale Borough Council, the Souderton Area School Board and the Towamencin Township Supervisors.
Pete has also covered high profile stories including the visits of Presidents and other nationally known newsmakers. He lives near Norristown with his wife and two sons.
