Railroad Plaza Expansion Planned
Lansdale officials hope to get more than $200,000 in Montgomery County open space funds for a walkway linking Railroad Plaza with an open lawn area between there and the SEPTA tracks. Landscape Architect Al Gryga says they also want a new gateway sign to welcome visitors.
“It’s basically a stone wall that matches the same materials as the train station, trying to convey the same image and the same manner of structure.”
Other improvements are planned for the plaza stage, where concerts and special events are held.
