Thieves Hit 2 CVS Stores
Two police departments are investigating thefts that occurred Sunday evening at separate Montgomery County CVS drug stores, located about 15 miles apart. Two women and one man stole nearly $600 worth of shaving blades and over-the-counter medications for eye and digestive conditions from the CVS at Route 113 and Godshall Road in Franconia at about 4:40PM. Then about two hours later three women and a man stole about $2,700 worth of cough and cold medications from the CVS on Route 463 in Horsham, taking the store’s entire supply. Surveillance camera pictures clearly show that one woman took part in both jobs. Franconia Township Police say all of the items taken from the Route 113 store had security devices attached, and one woman had a bag that was able to circumvent the security system. Horsham Township Police say the man and women entered and left the store several times until an employee chased them away.
